ode to s
(inspired by Pablo Neruda & Federico García Lorca)
By: Anonymous
i love you like the sun loves the earth as it dips beneath the horizon -
casting across the earth the shy colours of a budding rose.
when the skies bruise purple and the clouds drip into one another
like some quiet dream harbored in the soul of a sleeping man
i dream of you - your face gentle as a wind undulating over the ocean
sifting the sands into the strange dark womb of the sea.
you are the fair bronze shores along the crowded coasts of spain
whose tides love the fleeting grey moon - but not as much as i love you,
you and your blushing palms, your face dark as sweet wine
the taste of which inspires some artless fervor, as intangible as the
listless clouds drifting to the east.
