Stranded
By: Lily Nelson
The sickly sorrows gathered beneath my chin,
O how I appreciated my monstrous Creation and its yellow skin.
How a warty finger softly grazed my colorless cheek,
As we read stories of the deep blue water we would seek.
Strangled with your twine: dread,
Gracefully dancing like a fly caught in a widows web,
The warmth of your hands summoned the chills--consumed my body.
A hollow figure left tamed and stranded in your lobby.
Let the twine snap and free me from the misery
Let me sail out to the ocean and alone sea
The inviting waters of the deep blue
For I have died because of you.
